Abstract

This document represents the result of an institutional investigation carried out by a team of professors and students of the Centro de Investigación y Docencia whose objective was to rescue the "Beliefs, Expectations and Values of the teachers of the public high schools of the City of Chihuahua, regarding ICT ". To analyze the information presented, the hermeneutic support was required whenever the research design demanded it. The data was gathered using a guide of interviews with teachers of the Colegios de Bachilleres de la Ciudad de Chihuahua (COBACH), which rescued the beliefs that the teachers of these institutions have regarding their abilities. of students in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), with the objectives of identifying, classifying and analyzing them. It was observed among several questions, that in some cases the teachers believe the students have a higher preparation than them. Likewise, it was possible to identify beliefs related to the possibility of teachers to learn directly from students by requesting support to solve problems in the development of the contents of the subjects. These aspects generate a belief in teachers that there is a certain ease for students to learn ICT, because they belong to a generation that grew up in the first years of their lives in a context of technological use.
